Bells have long played an important roll in both the celebrations of Yuletide and modern day Christmas. During the time of the Celtic peoples, bells were rung on the winter solstice to drive away the darkness and evil spirts and herald in the warmer, brighter days to come. These bells were believed to create a protective barrier and to prevent harmful entities from entering the home.
These handmade Yule Bells fit perfectly over a door knob or can be hung on a hook. They are made with hand dyed cotton ribbions, grapevine wreath, and bells. They measure approximately 15 inches in length.
